  1. Faith – Ephesians 2:8-10 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

  1. Ensuring your life is right – 1 Timothy 4:16 see below

  1. Ensuring your Doctrine is right – 1 Timothy 4:15-16 15Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.

  1. Obedience – Hebrews 5:8-10 8Although he was a son, he learned obedience from what he suffered 9and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him 10and was designated by God to be high priest in the order of Melchizedek.

The Word of God – 1 Peter 1:22-23 22Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart. 23For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.

  1. The Holy Spirit – Acts 2:38-39 38Arise and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Sprit. 39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off – for all whom the Lord our God will call  Titus 3:5 He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy.  He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

  1. Jesus’ Literal Body – 1 Peter 2:24 24He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed. 25For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

  1. Baptism – 1 Peter 3:18-22 18For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit, 19through whom also he went and preached to the spirits in prison 20who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him. Acts 2:38 Arise and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Sprit

Amen.
